Contact: Justin McLane, The Solar Stone, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho On January 14th, in Mead, Washington, Justin McLane, president of local alternative energy provider, the Solar Stone, installed Spokane county’s largest residential wind turbine to date. The Proven 15 Kilowatt turbine has a 50 foot tall freestanding mono-pole tower and will provide in excess of 30,000 kilowatt hours per year. Now standing atop ‘Windy Ridge’, the customer’s name for his property, the Proven 15 is expected to provide 100 percent of the household’s electricity!!! “The installation was a dream come true for everyone involved”, said an elated Justin McLane, while staring up at the just erected turbine. The Proven 15 is manufactured in Scotland and because it’s the first to be installed in Washington, it marked a turning point for the state’s renewable energy community and businesses. In addition to Justin McLane and his installation crew was a representative from Scotland, a distributor from San Diego, a team of renewable energy providers from western Washington and the customer’s excited family, who all chose to take part in this exciting event.
